Udinese-Cagliari, Mazzarri: "We must be concrete"

“After the commitments of the Nationals, the group was back to full strength only two days ago, the boys arrived in dribs and drabs and we were able to resume working with everyone for a few training sessions. We come from the match against Milan in which there was a performance but without points, now we need concreteness rather than words ".

So Walter Mazzarri, in the press conference on the eve of the Dacia Arena match between Udinese and Cagliari.

"The compliments are of little use without the result being confirmed - added the rossoblù coach -, to obtain which you need to play carefully. In the last two days we have worked on the attacking phase, it is not a very lucky period from the point of view of the realization, we often miss the last pass or, as against Milan, there is the crossbar to stop us. We must believe in it and always improve, trying to play regardless of who you are in front of ".

Mazzarri also retraced the season of the Sardinians, recalling precisely the first match against Udinese: "On the occasion of the defeat in the first leg we hit rock bottom, that blow helped us to recover from the match against Juventus, even if then the turning point came with the start of the second round. Those punches were useful, it is clear that the regret is for the few points scored in the first round. However, we must look forward to the Udine race and our journey from now to the end of the season in which to hit the target at any cost ”.

The coach then took stock of Rog's condition: “As I have said in the past few weeks, having Rog back is very precious for the whole group. We can bring him to the bench, he is continuing to work to recover better from the injury, he is giving excellent signals and therefore he could also play a segment of the match ".

Finally, the recoveries of the missed matches: “I am happy that now the dates of the games to be recovered are known, which are important for the objectives of the various teams in the tournament. It would have been better if we were all aligned with the competitions already today, but at least now we know that soon there will be an even ranking ”.
