The Sardinia Rockabilly Festival returns today and tomorrow at Corto Maltese in Poetto with the Boom Chica Boom Weekender 2026, the only event in Sardinia entirely dedicated to the Roaring Fifties. Organized by the Sardinia Rockabilly Family, the event will kick off every afternoon at 4 pm with the Tiki Bikini Party, a prelude to live evenings. Today, the "Night of the Queens" takes center stage, dedicated to the scene's female protagonists, with Robbie Dee, Sardinian band Sally Quiet & The Rockin' Vibes, and Sylvia Sands. Tomorrow, it's the turn of the "Night of the Kings," featuring Milanese band Goosebumps and Sardinian bands Patrick & The Crazy Slivers and Fred and The Black Guys.

DJs Captain BLS from Poland, Nikos Rockhouse from Germany, Andy Fox from Milan, and Sardinian Tore Medas will also be keeping the rhythm between performances, with a selection of vinyl that spans the best of international rock 'n' roll and rockabilly.

But the 2026 edition also marks a turning point for the island's rockabilly movement. The Sardinia Rockabilly Family has announced the launch of Sardinia Rockabilly Records , the first Sardinian record label entirely dedicated to the genre. The debut is already scheduled with Patrick Atzori's 45 rpm single, followed by a compilation featuring the island's leading rockabilly bands and a new album by Rocca e i Suoi Fratelli. Not just a festival, then, but a project that aims to provide continuity and visibility to a vibrant and increasingly recognizable music scene, transforming Poetto into the beating heart of Mediterranean rockabilly.
