In Turin there is a Sardinian emigrant who gives visibility to the island culture. Raffaella Saba, born in Cagliari, with parents from Senorbì, has obtained her fourth degree. This too is about one of the illustrious Sardinian figures: "Maria Carta and the folk revival" is the title of the thesis in Historical Sciences which earned her a grade of 110/110. The in-depth study on the multifaceted artist from Siligo interested the examining commission so much that the exhibition lasted well over half an hour.

«The idea of dedicating this work to Maria Carta – explains Raffaella Saba – was born from a profound feeling of admiration and respect for a woman who, thanks to her great singing qualities and her immense love for the island that raised her , has managed to raise the name of Sardinia even overseas."

Raffaella Saba is not only passionate about island culture, but she graduated from three different universities. He obtained his first degree at the university of his city, Cagliari, in Political Sciences, with the thesis "Fabrizio De Andrè: the land and culture of Sardinia". Then she moved to Palermo and also took a degree at the Sicilian University, in literature and philosophy: "Lithophones between archaicism and modernity", work on the sound stones of Pinuccio Sciola.

Since 2019 she has lived in Turin with her husband and son and here she has obtained two other degrees: first at CAM (cinema, performing arts, music and media) with the thesis "Sound and literary imagery in the films of Salvatore Mereu" and now with the thesis on the artist from Siligo "thanks to the precious support and advice of the Maria Carta Foundation".
