His "bonamanzanada" is already missing from the many friends who followed him on Facebook. Francesco (Franco) Masia, a poet from Tula (Sassari), lost his battle against the coronavirus and surrendered last night from his hospital bed where he had been hospitalized for weeks.

Born in 1954, with origins in Ittiri and Alghero, author of about thirty volumes in which he collected his verses in Limba, he had published "Arrejonadas" only a few months ago. But it was above all on social media that he expressed his artistic vein by writing every day a thought dedicated to everyday facts or politics and current affairs, always with a subtle vein of irony and teasing some more or less well-known character.

A voice and a pen whose absence the country already feels, like last night when the sad news spread from house to house after the family communicated via social media: "Franco in these two months has fought like only a true warrior knows how to do, surely he would have wanted to thank you one by one for the affection you have always shown him. Unfortunately, however, today his battle is over ”.
