They spent six days on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje but the return trip to Sardinia turned into a nightmare for three groups of faithful who were supposed to arrive at Cagliari airport last night: about two hundred of them were stuck in Split because there was no plane . Or rather, as told by the pilgrims and their families, the Albastar plane was given to other passengers , along with the crew. It is still unclear why and what happened.

But there was one certainty: last night the large group of Sardinians did not know where to sleep also because the airport of the Croatian town of Castelli, nineteen kilometers from Split, closed at midnight with the risk of sending the faithful, including the blind, other people with pathologies, the elderly and children, out into the street. Today, after a night that is difficult to forget, the hope of finally being able to return to their homes. Then we will think about possible complaints or other actions.

Contacts were also made with the Italian Police and the Farnesina to report what was happening and find a solution for returning home.
