The result wasn't what we'd hoped for, but we saw a lively Cagliari again after the poor performances against Monza and Bologna. And, above all, we saw Yael Trepy again .
The striker came on in the 91st minute, with the result already compromised, replacing Sugawara. Not just a substitution, but a true second career for the Frenchman, who returned to the field 71 days after his life-threatening swimming accident .
The recovery process is now complete, and Fabio Pisacane welcomed the player's return: "One of the things I take home from this match is Trepy's return," the coach said after the match. And the club also welcomed him back, posting some photos of the Frenchman in action on social media.
Trepy also posted on Instagram: "71 days later, finally back after this accident that taught me so much. Thanks to my family, those closest to me, and also to the fans for their strength throughout this time. I'm disappointed with the result, but let's move on. Forza Cagliari."
These words express his joy after the near-tragedy in Porto Cervo last August, when the striker nearly drowned in a swimming pool and was hospitalized in a medically induced coma with a large amount of water in his lungs.
