Thirteenth edition for "Primavere sarde". This year the heart of the celebrations will be the itinerant theatrical show "Sa Sarda Rivolutzione in carrela", which will animate the streets of the historic center of Sassari on the afternoon of Saturday 26 April starting at 18.
Directed by Romano Foddai, the performance will take citizens on an exciting journey through the places that were the scene of the exploits of key figures of the Sardinian Revolution, such as Cillocco, Angioy and Mundula. To enrich the experience, the show will feature the choir of the Friends of Sardinian Song, directed by Maestro Salvatore Bulla, and the Sardinian dance group Monte Alma di Nulvi, creating a suggestive fusion between theatrical art and popular traditions.
On stage, the actors Paola Dessì, Stefano Petretto, Francesco Petretto, Giovanni Trudu, Nicolino Murru, Fabio Uleri and the boys from the Teatro S'Arza laboratory.
The rich calendar of events promoted by Teatro S'Arza and Sa Domo de tottu also includes the conference on Friday at the provincial auditorium in via Monte Grappa, where around 400 Sardinian students will meet the experts Cristiano Sabino and Federico Francioni to contextualise the events and characters of the revolutionary movements.
The commemorations will culminate on Sunday, April 28. In the morning, a wreath will be laid at the site of the Forche del Carmine Vecchio, in memory of the eight martyrs of the Sardinian Revolution. The day will end in the afternoon, at 5 pm in the Angioy room of the Province, with the presentation of the book by Adriana Valenti Sabouret "Sardinian revolutionaries in France. Characters and documents", a work that sheds new light on the figures of the Sardinian exile, among whom Giovanni Maria Angioy stands out.
