The coaching scene continues to move the tables in Serie A. While AC Milan waits to find a replacement, Bologna has announced the arrival of Domenico TEDESCO : the former Belgium coach, who also managed Leipzig and Fenerbahçe, has signed a two-year contract. He replaces Vincenzo ITALIANO , who, meanwhile, is reportedly in negotiations with Besiktas in Turkey. But Milan remains the venue where the most difficult game is being played. The Rossoneri club has yet to find a replacement for Max ALLEGRI, with whom they are reportedly negotiating a severance package: the termination of his contract is imminent, and the Tuscan coach will be able to sign for Napoli.
AC Milan are meeting with Oliver Glasner , who has officially left Crystal Palace after winning the Conference League. Al Ahly coach Matthias Jaissle and current US coach Mauricio Pochettino are also gaining ground. Only in the next few days will it be clear whether Austrian Ralf Rangnick will be the new technical director.
In Florence, Paolo VANOLI leaves, despite securing safety, and Fabio GROSSO arrives. The former world champion leaves Sassuolo to sign a two-year contract. The black-and-green club is turning to Alberto AQUILANI , who led Catanzaro to the Serie B playoff final. Lecce has not yet confirmed Eusebio DI FRANCESCO and is evaluating Paolo ZANETTI ; Pisa is interested in the latter.
Rumors are circulating abroad that Lionel Messi's Inter Miami are interested in Pep Guardiola : the contacts are reportedly being facilitated by David Beckham, co-owner of the American club. According to English tabloids, a huge offer is on the table. The Catalan coach, however, has apparently hinted that he'd like to try his hand at coaching a national team, rekindling speculation about him for the Azzurri as well.
Italy, awaiting the appointment of the new FIGC president on June 22, is studying potential coaches, including a squad that includes Antonio CONTE and a rising Roberto MANCINI, who could make a sensational return.
Inter Milan are the most active team in the transfer market for substitute coaches. The Nerazzurri are struggling to resist pressure from José Mourinho's Real Madrid for full-back Denzel Dumfries . Meanwhile, they're protecting themselves by reaching an agreement in principle with Udinese's Oumar Solet . The Italian champions are in talks with Lazio for goalkeeper Ivan Provedel and are expected to announce the contract renewal of Carlos Augusto shortly.
Giuseppe Marotta also has Marco Palestra on his radar: the 21-year-old defender performed well with Cagliari but is owned by Atalanta, who value him at €50 million. Atalanta have extended Gianluca Scamacca 's contract: new coach Maurizio Sarri likes the striker, who will insist on not selling him to Gian Piero Gasperini's Roma, who is insisting on the Bosnian Kerim Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen.
Napoli, struggling to redeem the Brazilian ALISSON SANTOS, is negotiating a swap deal with Genoa: Nosa OBARETIN , defender born in 2003, will join Genoa in exchange for the 2006 striker Seydou FINI.
Alex MERET could end up at Juventus who continue to insist with Real Madrid for the loan of Brahim DIAZ .
Venezia could sign Anselmo García MACNULTY , a center-back from PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands, on a free transfer. Matias MORENO , who gained experience in the Spanish league last year, returns to Fiorentina. The Argentine performed well with Levante, contributing to their survival. Grosso may want to evaluate him before making a decision.
Newly promoted Monza has extended Samuele Birintelli 's contract until June 30, 2028, with the option to extend for another season. The defender was a key figure in the club's promotion to Serie A.
