An investigation has been opened by the Cagliari Public Prosecutor's Office into the death of a newborn baby , which occurred yesterday at the Monserrato Polyclinic : today the public prosecutor on duty, deputy prosecutor Gilberto Ganassi, will assign the task of the autopsy, which could be performed as early as the early afternoon.
Very few details are known about the story, except that the mother (apparently also a gynecologist) underwent an unscheduled cesarean in the eighth month of pregnancy. The little girl was immediately taken to the emergency department.
