The Festival is organized by the Amici della Musica of Cagliari in collaboration with Su Bentu Estu (documentation and improvised poetry), Campos (promotion and dissemination), La Pro Loco Cagliari (promotion and engagement with enthusiasts), and FremArte (exhibition space for Sardinian sculptures and crafts). Inspiration comes from the philosophy of Gustav Mahler, who argued that tradition is the preservation of fire . The festival therefore proposes innovation without distorting the core identity of Sardinian music. The originality of the proposal lies in the integration of traditional Sardinian music with external instruments and languages, thus offering audiences an artistic experience that enhances identity and innovation in the urban context of Cagliari, highlighting the points of contact between popular culture and contemporary languages.
The choice of the Lazzaretto was strongly desired with the aim of contributing to the revitalization of the Sant'Elia neighborhood and promoting cultural inclusion , aggregation and the reappropriation of peripheral spaces by the entire community.
