Over 1500 shutters lowered in the year just ended, five per day. On the Island the crisis in trade does not seem to know respite and the graph has been pointing downwards for some time. And while the sector continues to show signs of suffering, the delays on some tenders, created precisely to give support to companies, certainly do not seem to help. Like that of LR n° 3/22, which provides investment aid, 40% non-repayable, made by Sardinian companies in the trade and catering sectors.

The accusation comes from the regional director of Confesercenti Gian Battista Piana, according to whom «it is unacceptable that over 35 million euros can remain stagnant, for years, in the coffers of the Chambers of Commerce instead of fueling the growth programs of companies operating in a sector that in recent years, more than any other, has undergone changes in the social context».

Piana accuses and denounces a situation that is no longer sustainable "because despite the fact that companies have advanced the funds for some time, counting on the expected aid, the situation is not unblocked". "The accumulated delay - the director of Confesercenti Sardegna points out - is now more than a year, with disastrous consequences for operators who had made investments in time, confident of being able to recover from financial exposures ". Hence the request for urgent intervention capable of putting an end to this "absurd situation".
