The Call for Ideas promoted by the META-DEST project, dedicated to companies in the tourism and culture sectors of the Maritime Programme territories, including Sardinia , is scheduled to open on Wednesday 17 September 2025 .
The META-DEST project - the Multi-Platform Destination for Tourism Innovation, co-financed by the Interreg Italy-France Maritime Programme 2021-2027 , is led by the Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development of Pisa with partners: Finanziaria Ligure per lo Sviluppo Economico (FILSE), the Chamber of Commerce of Nuoro, the Alghero Foundation , Toulon Var Tecnologies (TVT) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Corsica.
This call for proposals will provide €30,000 in funding through vouchers for digital innovation projects that leverage emerging technologies to enhance tourism and cultural heritage .
The projects must contribute to the development of the "Multi-Platform Destination" model, integrating physical and digital tools with the aim of creating value in the tourism and cultural sectors in the participating territories.
All micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) active in the tourism, culture or related sectors (such as digital, creativity, communications) with registered or operational headquarters in Tuscany (provinces of Pisa, Lucca, Massa-Carrara, Grosseto, Livorno), Liguria, Sardinia , Corsica and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur can participate in the Call for Ideas.
Project proposals must be innovative and include a digital component integrating technologies such as augmented virtual reality, metaverse, artificial intelligence, gamification, IoT, blockchain, NFTs, and interactive 3D environments.
The selected companies will receive assistance in the form of vouchers to cover eligible expenses necessary to complete the project (for example: specialist consultancy, purchase of hardware and software if strictly instrumental to the project).

"In particular, the META-DEST project is aimed at businesses operating in the tourism and culture sectors, with a particular focus on technological innovation . The goal is to enhance the territories' tourism and cultural heritage. This project will enable "knowledge of natural beauty," thereby generating value for our region's entire economic system."
Applications may be submitted exclusively online through the platform available at metadestination.eu, starting from September 17th and ending November 10th, 2025.
