The conditions of Totò Schillaci, the hero of the “magical nights” of the 1990 World Cup in Italy, have worsened .
"In the last 24 hours, the clinical conditions of the patient Salvatore Schillaci have significantly worsened , the pharmacological and instrumental support of the cardiorespiratory functions currently allow a stationary vital parameters. The patient is also currently undergoing pain therapy, is pharmacologically sedated and is continuously cared for by the medical and nursing staff and by his family members ", communicates the health management of the Civico Di Cristina company of Palermo.
The former striker, who has been undergoing treatment for a tumor for several years , has been hospitalized since the beginning of September and his conditions, after some encouraging improvements, are once again critical.
Schillaci, at just 59 years old, is playing the most important game of his life, and there are numerous messages of encouragement and affection from the Italians who followed and loved him.
