" I'm very satisfied with yesterday's debut ."

Filippo Tortu , from Florida, smiles at 10''15 clocked on the first 100 of the season , in view of the 2024 Paris Olympics, in a race in Gainsville won by world champion Noah Lyles.

" The best debut in recent years ," says the sprinter of Sardinian origin. «I made a very good start and finished just over a tenth behind Lyles and Bednarek. I certainly have to work on the finish , I struggled a bit to get my legs moving as I know, but it's only April and I still have time to fine-tune the car", his analysis.

All things considered, he concludes, "the work I'm doing here in Florida together with my coach is bearing fruit, I must say that I'm very happy."

Tortu will compete in the 100 again next Saturday in Clermont. This season is all about preparing for the Paris Olympic Games, where Tortu together with his relay teammates will defend the splendid gold obtained in the 4X100 in Tokyo .
