A crazy match that ultimately ended at the "Curi" stadium with the spoils evenly split: 1-1. A point each that leaves the Umbrians out of the play-offs and the Sassari team still in fourth-last place.

The first half resembled many others. Torres dominated the game and created several chances. The most precious came in the 16th minute: Giorico's shot from the edge of the box was parried by the goalkeeper, and Antonelli was able to retrieve it in the box, but Gemello was again able to block it. Sala and Mastinu both went close, but in the 37th minute, a clumsy pass from Luciani from his own half allowed Manzari to win the ball back and lay it off to Dutchman Bolsius, who crossed it into the right corner, where Zaccagno couldn't reach it.

In the second half, in the 62nd minute, Mastinu passed Luciani in the box, who in turn found the unmarked Sorrentino for the goal. Initially, the goal was disallowed for offside, but after the video footage, the goal was confirmed. After the equalizer, Torres seemed to fade, and Perugia continued to attack: in the 69th minute, Zaccagno deflected Montevago's shot onto the crossbar. The goalkeeper repeated the feat in the 79th minute. At Perugia's best moment, Jocelito scored an incredible own goal, winning the challenge in the box with Sorrentino, but instead of clearing the ball, he slotted the ball into his own net. The goal was initially disallowed for Sorrentino's offside (which was not actually true), but after the Fvs, the referee declared a foul that tainted the play.
