Results aside, the hat-trick of victories against Alghero (7-0), Ossese (3-1) and Latte Dolce (2-0) has brought back two young players who had ended up on the sidelines last season and were then sent out on loan: striker Sanat (who played in Serie D with Campodarsego) and attacking midfielder Carboni, who went to Hamrun Spartans in the Maltese Premier League.
The 24-year-old Italian-Moroccan Sanat also scored three goals, confirming his flashes of unpredictability that need to be transformed into consistent threat and improved offensive reading. This could be his breakout season in Serie C.
Michele Carboni, 22, from Sassari, showed up to the training camp with an extra 4 kilos of muscle to try to give more physical impact to his undoubted technique: "With hard work, the results are starting to show. I'm happy to play both in the attacking midfield and in midfield, because Coach Greco requires us to play with a non-sterile ball that seeks depth up front."
