Torres mathematically third: at home they beat Carpi 4-2
Goals by Scotto and Guiebre to close Nanni's brace

A first half without any major shocks, a pyrotechnic second half. Torres first scores a one-two with Scotto and Nanni, then is caught up and then with Nanni and Guiebre takes the lead again for the victory (4-2) that makes third place mathematical.
First half - First chance for the guests in the 7th minute on a corner: Zagnoni's header misses the target by less than a meter. The rossoblù also become dangerous on a corner: Mercadante crosses well, but the goalkeeper clears it. In the 23rd minute Guiebre rushes to the left and crosses in low, but Scotto misses the deflection. In the 25th minute Guiebre again on the left, crosses to the opposite side, where Zecca acts as a tower for Scotto who has his header blocked by a defender. Torres insists: Nanni opens to the left for Scotto, pass to Zecca and a nice diagonal deflected by the goalkeeper. In the 28th minute another good ball for Scotto, but the striker from the center of the area does not hit the target. The captain tries again from outside.
Second half - Carpi starts off better again in the second half and in the 57th minute Guiebre blocks Casarini's shot inside the area. Two minutes pass, Mastinu recovers the ball, in the three-quarter line offers it to Scotto who passes it to Nanni on the left in the area for the doubling. The teams stretch out and Carpi equalizes with Saporetti in the 78th minute on a foray to the right, a fortuitous deflection by a defender and the new entrant finds the ball comfortable for the 2-2. Masala tries from outside in the 82nd minute: slightly high. Nanni thinks about straightening things out again: in the 83rd minute he leaves two defenders with a tight dribbling and scores. And in the 89th minute a counterattack by Fabriani who sees Varela on the opposite side, control on the bottom, backward pass for the onrushing Guiebre and it's 4-2.
