Alessandro Masala was truly unlucky, having left the pitch after less than six minutes of play in Carpi in a match where he had been a starter. The midfielder will end the calendar year without being able to play and will be ready to return only after mid-January.

The Sassari club announced that "following the injury sustained during last Saturday's match between Carpi and Torres, and after the appropriate tests, Masala has sustained a first-degree, third-middle-upper biceps femoris lesion in his right leg. The Sassari midfielder has already begun the rehabilitation process that will see him available to the coach in 30/40 days".

For the home match against Lucchese, coach Greco will also have to do without midfielder-attacking midfielder Mastinu, who is serving his second match of suspension after his expulsion against Ascoli.
