With a limited number of players, a bench mostly made up of very young players, and yet an indomitable spirit. Torres is preparing for the match in Pescara (Saturday at 2:30 PM), a sort of playoff for the fourth-placed team.

The joy of the victory was overshadowed by Peppe Mastinu's injury: he fractured two cervical vertebrae. Coach Alfonso Greco revealed: "It was a blow for the team, but beyond his importance as a player, we're thinking above all about Mastinu the man. He told us not to give up, to persevere, and this will be further motivation in a difficult match against a team built to return to Serie B."

None of the injured players are returning, meaning the Sassari team will be without eight players. Among the injured, Scotto appears closest to returning, but that will be discussed next week. The others will take another two or three weeks, while Sorrentino's recovery is extremely long, and it seems the club is no longer counting on him.
