The taboo is broken. For the first time in its history, Torres wins the first two games at the start of the championship in the Third Series. The 2-1 win over Rimini was achieved thanks to a good recovery after a complicated first half. Double for Diakite (first goal from a penalty) which confirms the qualities shown last season.
Difficult first half for Torres who is unable to gain the initiative, in fact it is Rimini who are dangerous when they start again at speed. In the 19th minute, Gigli's free kick and header gave Rimini the lead.
The guests were close to doubling their lead again from a set piece: Zaccagno rejected Morra's very angled shot on the half hour mark.
Torres passes thanks to the acceleration of Ruocco who is stopped with a foul from the edge. Free kick from Scotto and Tofanari on the barrier comes out and touches with his arm. Penalty converted by Diakite. In the final Lamesta hits the outside of the net with a free kick.
In the second half Greco inserted Idda in defense, Kujabi in midfield and Fishnaller in attack. Shortly afterwards Pelamatti also leaves due to injury and Liviero comes on. Very little happens even if Torres has possession of the ball.
In the 76th minute, a nice cross from the left by Liviero and Dakite heads it well for Sassari's lead.
In the 84th minute, Rimini counterattacked and shot through Selvini: Zaccagno stretched out and put it in the corner.
