The order of dismissal of President Alessandra Todde, issued by the regional electoral guarantee college that ruined the holidays for Sardinian politics, arrives on the table of the Election Committee, after Epiphany, when work resumes.

The measure will begin to be evaluated and studied (officially, since it has already been explored by eminent jurists) first with informal meetings and then in an ad hoc session that will be convened by the president of the council body composed of nine councilors including 5 from the majority of the broad camp and 4 from the opposition. According to the internal regulation, "for the causes of ineligibility and incompatibility that arise, he reports to the Council within ninety days from the moment he becomes aware of them".

And if among some jurists the prevailing thesis is that the Sardinian legislative assembly can only proceed with a mere acknowledgement of the electoral college's provision, other experts also hypothesize the possibility that the Council could decide differently. But in this case - others say - the national government could come into play.

Meanwhile, the president of the Sardinian legislative assembly Piero Comandini could call the conference of group leaders for next week, in which the centre-right will presumably ask to address the issue in the Chamber, before discussing the hot topics of healthcare reform and the 2025 financial law.
