Todde: «I am the first female president of Sardinia». Truzzu trailed by almost three thousand votes
The Campo Largo candidate prevails over her centre-right rival and celebrates with Elly Schlein and Giuseppe Conte. Soru below 9%, Lucia Chessa at 1%. There are 22 sections missing from the appeal, which will be scrutinized in the Court
«I am the first female president of the Sardinia Region». Alessandra Todde 's announcement comes in the night between Monday and Tuesday, from Cagliari, where the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein and the leader of the 5 Star Movement Giuseppe Conte also arrived to celebrate the victory.
With 1822 sections scrutinized out of 1844, the Campo Largo candidate has 45.3% of the votes (330,619 overall votes), against the 327,695 votes (45%) of her centre-right rival Paolo Truzzu .
Renato Soru (Sardinian Coalition) is very far behind and with just over 63 thousand votes, equal to 8.7%, remains below the 10% threshold and therefore outside the regional council.
Lucia Chessa , candidate of Sardigna R-Esiste, obtained 1%, equal to approximately 7,200 preferences.
At 5 in the morning the Region announced that the counting of the remaining 22 electoral sections (4 in Sassari, 2 in Sorso, 3 in Sestu, 2 in Bonarcado, 3 in Luras, 2 in Musei, 2 in Serdiana, 2 in Silius, 1 in San Gavino Monreale, 1 in Villasor), will be completed, as required by current regulations, by the offices of the Courts of the respective territories.
