«For Sardinia this maneuver does absolutely nothing. Indeed, it takes away what little we had." The broad candidate for the presidency of the Region, Alessandra Todde, in her role as M5S deputy goes on the attack on the national budget law on which «I had the opportunity to work. And clearly I did it with an eye on the territory that expressed me as its representative in Parliament." Todde says she is "saddened, but certainly not surprised."

On mobility and infrastructure «the Government envisages a cut in the resources intended for the safety of the junctions of the 131, and of the 23 million foreseen by previous governments, Meloni takes away 15. Therefore, to finance the bridge over the Strait, it is decided to save in Sardinia on the safety of a road artery that is fundamental for internal mobility on the island".

The Maneuver provides for a depopulation fund, «reserved for municipalities under 5,000 inhabitants, which uses the synthetic index called Ivsm (Social and Material Vulnerability Index) as a criterion for allocating resources, the value of which is mainly dictated by the population density » explains Todde. Therefore, the greater the population density of a municipality, the greater the possibility of obtaining funds to combat depopulation. «As even the walls know», he underlines, «Sardinia, especially in the internal areas, has one of the lowest population densities in Italy. This means that, despite being one of the regions most affected by depopulation, the island will most likely not be allocated any resources to combat it."

Also in the crosshairs are "cuts in healthcare with the consequent freeze in the hiring of healthcare personnel". Not a word, then, «on the implementation of the principle of insularity, nor on the need for the infrastructures and services necessary to make Sardinia suitable to host the Einstein Telescope».
In short, a disaster, according to Todde. Which promises to intervene with a series of amendments "with an eye on a region, Sardinia, which has been left forgotten for too long".
