It is called “Three roads of contemporaneity” and offers three Thursdays on theatre in the conference room of the Comunale di Sassari with Nicola Fano, historian and professor of theatre history, playwright and television writer. It is a short series of free meetings, in collaboration with the shows scheduled in the Sardinian theatre circuit, which aims to provide some theoretical tools to better understand the reasons for interest in the performances scheduled.

The start is Thursday at 4 pm with “Chekhov’s Lesson” . Contemporary theatre was born from Anton Chekhov: the great Russian writer with his predilection for the unsaid and the unlived can be considered the father of theatre Beckett, Pinter and Fosse.

On March 6th, the discussion will focus on “The post-Eduardo period” and on the authors considered the masters of the new Neapolitan school : Enzo Moscato, Manlio Santanelli, Annibale Ruccello and Mimmo Borrelli. Closing on March 27th with “The narrative theatre” . Marco Paolini, Ascanio Celestini, Marco Baliani and Davide Enia are considered the initiators of this genre that mixes the art of the actor with the suggestion of the popular tale.
