Three free concerts at the Sassari Conservatory

A busy week at the “Canepa” in Sassari , because the usual appointment of “I mercoledì del Conservatorio” is enclosed by two concerts of the summer festival “Notturni Contemporanei” . All concerts are free .
The first evening to be marked is Tuesday at 9 pm in Sala Sassu with the Instrumental Ensemble of the Cagliari Conservatory , made up of 9 elements including wind instruments, accordion and percussion, with music by the student Riccardo Caredda and the contemporary composer Louis Andriessen; to follow, the guitar student of the “Canepa” Chiara Cagnoni will perform pieces by Heitor Villa-Lobos, William Walton and the student Fabio Carta.
On Wednesday at 7 pm the “Canepa” percussion ensemble will perform , formed by the percussionist students Federico Pintus, Simone Argiolas, Irene Carbone, Alessandro Catuogno, Andrea Cubeddu, Nicola Masala, Gabriele Desole, Laura Carta with the teacher Andrea Bini, together with the piccolo of Eleonora Denegri and the voices of Federica Piu and Antonella Dasara. The ensemble will propose Drumming by Steve Reich:
On Friday at 9 pm, Cagliari students Paola Lilliu (clarinet), Andrea Malara (basset horn) and Gregorio Corcione (piano) will perform the Konzertstücke 1-2 op. 113 and 114 by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and a piece by their student Andrea Nonnis. The evening's program will close with Francesca Sanna, a student in the Piano course at the Sassari Conservatory, with music by the young composer of the “Canepa” Nadir Doghmane and the Suite bergamasque by Claude Debussy.
