"What's more beautiful - Words and chords by Gavinuccio Canu" is the event dedicated to musical culture to remember the Sassari musician Gavinuccio Canu, who passed away two years ago. Three evenings in Sassari, 17 and 18 November and 25 November 2023, organized by the association of the same name.

We start tomorrow at 7pm in the Arci - Il Colombre Cultural Center, in via Carso 28-30, with the presentation of the photographic book Epicles, a long-term Anima Mundi project, by the photographer Paolo Sanna. The evening will develop with a talk which, starting from the author's artistic visions it will review the suburban musical contexts and movements that have affected and continue to affect the island context, a debate that examines art, music and their relationship over time; with the contributions of Antonio Canu journalist and musicologist, Maria Paola Dettori director of the National Art Gallery of Sassari, Barbara Vargiu cultural operator and artistic director of the Terrible Girls. Saturday at 8pm 3 and the following Saturday, 25 November, again at the club in via Carso, concert with 16 artists (8 per evening): Alessandro Carta, Gianfranco Cossu, Marco Falchi, Federico Marras Perantoni, Gianfranco Mura, Federico Murzi, Giovanni Vargiu , Giuseppe Bulla, Maurizio Casu, Claudia Crabuzza, Carlo Doneddu, Silvia Pilia, Stefano Sotgiu, Luca Usai, Alessandro Doro, Gavino Riva .

Also on Saturday 25 November but at 5.30pm in the National Art Gallery of Sassari, concert by Ippio Payo, alter ego of the Munich guitarist Josip Pavlov, musician, composer and member of bands such as Majmoon, Das Weiße Pferd, The Grexits, Zwinkelman or NAQ.

On Saturday 18 November in Cagliari Bohemien Eventi and the Gavinuccio Canu cultural association present " Ceremony for Gavinuccio " on the Cueva Rock stage, an evening to support the crowdfunding launched to be able to publish a double vinyl with the artist's latest songs. From 9.30pm Antennah, Brigata Stirner, Gigi Moi with Stefano Giaccone/Franti, Alessandro and Ludovico Muroni's Magnificat with Marco Noce and Loono will perform.
The recording project, entitled Lievi Favole, includes the first album with a selection of solo songs by Gavinuccio, the second , with the same songs reinterpreted by artists such as Andrea Chimenti, Rita Lilith Oberti (Not Moving) with Cesare Basile, Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi ( La Crus) with Lele Battista (La synthesizer), Paolo Messere (Blessed Chil Opera, Ostara's Bless, The Big Self), Lalli and Stefano Giaccone (Franti), as well as local artists such as Davide Catinari (Dorian Gray), Brigata Stirner di Roberto Belli (Rosa delle Ceneri, Hannibal the Cannibal) and Arnaldo Pontis (H26, Machina Amniotica), Marco Noce (Maniumane, Aprile in Super8, Trigale, The Mojo Workers) with Romina Pala (Sinecdoche, Pq0, A58), Domenico Canu (Anomimia , Nero Sensibile, La Plonge), and the Magnificats of Alessandro and Ludovico Sebastian Muroni (Charme de Caroline). The production will be curated by the association and Paolo Messere.
