Logudorese would be in danger of extinction. This was revealed by the study of the Preply platform, a network that brings together around 32,000 foreign language teachers around the world.

The analysis comes following the overcoming of the threshold of 8 billion in the global population: for the occasion, Preply's experts have elaborated a research to highlight which are the most spoken languages in the world . In first place is English, followed by Mandarin, Hindi and Spanish; the Italian is in 28th position .

But the study also highlighted which languages are endangered, depending on the number of people who still speak them, dividing them into those critically endangered, those seriously endangered, endangered, threatened, vulnerable and at risk. The Logudorese, with 500,000 "speakers", appears among those under threat .

A mission, that of Preply: within the publication it also includes some ideas to promote languages and prevent their extinction.
