Theatre, “The Lady of Tuesday” arrives in Cagliari and Sassari

The play is based on the novel of the same name by the writer Massimo Carlotto.

“The Lady of Tuesday” stars Giuliana De Sio, Alessandro Haber and Paolo Sassanelli. The prose show, included in the CeDac Sardegna programme, will be performed at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari for five days : from Wednesday to Friday starting at 8.30pm, Saturday at 7.30pm and Sunday at 7pm. The Sardinian tour ends on Monday at the Comunale di Sassari with start at 9pm.

Giuliana De Sio lends her face and voice to the enigmatic Alfonsina Malacrida, known as Nanà, who for nine years, punctually, once a week went to the Pensione Lisbona managed by Mr. Alfredo Guastini (Paolo Sassanelli), intimately convinced that she was a beautiful woman and dressed and made up accordingly, to spend an hour of love with Bonamente Fanzago (Riccardo Festa), a porn actor in his twilight and occasionally even a gigolo. A pleasant habit suddenly interrupted by the arrival of Pietro Maria Belli, an unscrupulous journalist, played by Alessandro Haber who gives his character the right doses of ruthlessness and nefariousness.

The direction is by Pierpaolo Sepe, scenography by Francesco Ghisu and costumes by Katarina Vukcevic. The show is produced by Gli Ipocriti Melina Balsamo and Fondazione Teatro della Toscana.
