The junior championship
26 Federations from as many countries, over 80 players under the age of twenty who represent the strongest talent of their nations, and around 200 people including teams, families and organizational staff will liven up the town of Pula , a splendid setting in southern Sardinia. The second consecutive year, after Cala Gonone, that the world junior chess championship chooses Sardinia as the place to enhance a growing discipline in Italy and, above all on the island, home of great champions, such as Francesco Sonis from Oristano who unfortunately did not he will participate because he is already 21 years old.
