She is a steel artist with a Sardinian soul inside, a passion with which she manages to give shape to the objects and materials she creates with care. Thirty years ago, Daniele Salis , a 47-year-old professional from Turri, and stainless steel fell in love with stainless steel , a not-so-random encounter that began at the age of 14 in his father's garage.

The latest of his works is the small church of Balai Lontano , a work carried out in detail that respects the details of a symbolic monument of the city of Porto Torres.

«One of my most important creations is the carnival mask of the Mamuthones – explains Daniele Salis – a work donated, with the contribution of other artists, to the traditional group of Mamoiada. Using mainly stainless steel, but also iron, I try my hand at making objects in the shape of Sardinia that become furnishing elements or details for motorcycles or environments».

For the singer Maria Giovanna Cherchi he created the earrings , small carbon steel switchblade knives.

Currently team leader in a welding company, the artist has been experimenting with pyrography since 2011 as in the portrait of Andrea Parodi, donated to the municipal administration which exhibited it in the theater dedicated to him.

Sardinian traditions are his source of inspiration , an imprint imprinted in his sculptures, made by bending and beating metal, adapting it to complex and articulated shapes and applying a dense network of welds that give it a particular plasticity. Skilled hands capable of giving life to many works "exhibited" on FerragliArt, the showcase created on his Facebook page.
