There isn't much time left now for Estate in Fiore, this year dedicated to "Water and biodiversity, the future of the wetlands of the Saloni pond and the San Giovanni river".
This 9th September edition will take place from 22nd to 24th September, and will be characterized by the presence of seven horticultural companies which will transform the image of the historic center for a few days. The event dedicated to the environment and sustainable tourism plays, explains Michele Occhioni, delegate for the Environment, «a fundamental role in supporting environmental awareness campaigns and promoting responsible behavior in the protection of natural resources and the correct disposal of waste. Every year we try to sow a 'seed of sustainability' with the symbolic transformation of our historic center into a green oasis, but also to disseminate projects linked to the valorisation of natural resources, such as that of the Saloni-Lu Mulinu river park, with which we want to create opportunities of territorial development and which we will talk about extensively during the event".
Claudia Giagoni, Councilor for Tourism, underlines how there is "a deep connection between territory and community and the theme of sustainability becomes central also, perhaps above all, when it comes to tourism".
The calendar includes: flowering market with natural crafts and objects, aromatherapy and phytotherapy products, natural cosmetics and organic agri-food from the Slow Food Gallura presidium; creative workshops for children; workshops for adults in which to learn how to prepare natural cosmetics or dye fabrics, learn about honey processing or saffron transformation; picnic with the distribution of baskets and gadgets; Showcase in bloom (for traders), Balcony in bloom (for citizens) and Summer in bloom 2023 (for nursery gardeners) competitions; the exhibition by Moses Concas and the impromptu "Painters in the historic center" organized by the Artechepassione association.
