The performing arts that have filled and animated the capital of Barbagia and its province, to which are now added the eagerly awaited concerts: the segment dedicated to live music is starting for the theatre festival " Terreni d'Incontro ", which began on July 29th in Nuoro with numerous events at the Maccioni-Deledda Auditorium in Viale Costituzione 11 , in addition to the touring dates that have also touched Mamoiada , Oliena and Suni . With the concerts starting at 9 pm and the Giardino Buscarini of the Satta Library as the stage, until September 6th the Bentrees , Irene Loche and the veterans Breakin' Down will perform, with free admission every evening.

We start today , after the musical reading " Mistery Tales " with Patrizia Viglino at 8pm , with the Iglesias "power duo" of Riccardo Podda (vocals and guitar) and Mauro Cocco (drums), with the evocative name Bentrees : debuting in 2017 with the immature, but already well-defined, sounds of " Psychollage ", they immediately expressed a desert rock full of heavy blues, hard rock and fuzz influences , which also return in the second " Two of Swords " (2021). With the work released last year, " Silver Veins ", the two artists combine existential themes on the relationship between the individual and the community with a psychedelic and stoner-like sound palette.

Following on Friday the 5th is singer-songwriter and guitarist Irene Loche , who has crossed the Atlantic from Sardinia several times to the homeland of the "devil's music", the United States, where she was included as the only Italian in the Magnatone USA roster , together with Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, Neil Young and many other famous names in American rock. Now as a solo artist, after the end of the experience of the trio Sunsweet Blues Revenge, she brings together her blues voice with soul, Americana and heartland rock musicality , as also demonstrated by her latest " Keep Walking " (2025), produced by Steve Postell and Massimo Satta and recorded with Leland Sklar (bass) and Steve Ferrone (drums).

Closing out Saturday 6th is a historic band from Olbia: Breakin' Down , founded in 1999 by current vocalist (and bassist) Simone Piu , who over the years has been joined by Mauro Eretta and Luca Desini on guitars and Rocco Pontillo on drums. Starting from a primordial blues inspiration, the group adds influences from the hard, stoner and punk sides of rock and replaces live covers with the first original songs, which over time also end up appearing on official albums such as " Miss California " (2011) and " Judas' Kiss " (2015).
