Wednesday's evening is part of the official tour of the Strega Prize , which every year visits selected Italian cities to promote contemporary literature and encourage direct meetings between writers and readers. The evening will be hosted by presenter Fabio Canino. The initiative, created with the patronage of the Municipality of Quartu and the contribution of the Quartu Cultura Foundation, is organized by 011solution in collaboration with ArgoNautilus.
"I continue to believe that culture must be decentralized and accessible," says Mayor Graziano Milia. "In an era in which we increasingly reflect on the role of the geographical, economic, but also symbolic "peripheries" as places of autonomous cultural production, a stage of the Strega Prize in Quartu Sant'Elena is an important sign of democratization of literary prestige . Without neglecting the positive impact on the territory, stimulating bookstores, schools, libraries, local festivals and associations. It is an opportunity to create networks and enhance the realities already active, as well as to trigger new artistic and literary initiatives."
