As the journalist and scholar Piero Bardanzellu explained during the first public disclosure meeting, held in Olbia .
“In the meantime, we thank the Region for having favorably welcomed the draft of the project - he said - After the preface there is a first part which speaks of historical-linguistic hints and a second one which refers to spelling and grammatical elements; we have also added an essential bibliography . Among the innovations introduced the consonant systems CC or GG which will no longer be followed by H but only by J while writing DDH will still be valid ”.
The commission's analysis took into consideration all the variants , such as the castellano di Castelsardo and neighboring areas and the island of La Maddalena, and added the aggese because it was considered a hinge language between the classical Gallura area and the vast Gallura area. . A long and complex path that will now be presented in all territories in order to welcome observations and opinions from citizens, writers, scholars or simple enthusiasts, before the final delivery and publication.
In Olbia, the joint leader of the project, the presentation in the main hall of the Archaeological museum resulted in a lively exchange of opinions between writers, scholars and poets who brought contributions and observations. The commission's mini tour of the territories will continue until February; after the officialization of the Region, the project will be printed and distributed among institutions and schools. During the meeting, the scholar Giacomo Mannoni, a member of Icimar, also wanted to retrace the history of studies on the Gallura area.
"In the success of the work we were benefited by the previous experience that had involved us, since 1997 at the Dialect Cultural Association, about twenty writers, authors and people of culture, including Tomaso Panu, Giulio Cossu, Salvatore Brandanu, to decide that a single system should be adopted. Professor Fiorenzo Toso, Professor of Linguistics at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sassari, was also part of the current commission as a professor - he later recalled - who unfortunately, passed away in September, was unable to see the fruit of his work ”. Satisfaction of the municipal administration, which for years has been carrying out projects to protect multilingualism and guided tours in Gallura.
"We want to ensure that the Gallura language is increasingly protected - said the councilor for culture Sabrina Serra, introducing the works - Olbia is a cosmopolitan and multicultural city, we give the opportunity to understand and learn our language too".
