The Municipality of Ittiri contributed financial support to the making of the film directed by the director, screenwriter and photographer from Sassari, Marco Antonio Pani, a film entitled “Nemos andare per mare” which stars Giovanni Masia, Luana Fais, Francesco Spada, Silvia Senes and Valentina Carta.

The feature film is a reinterpretation of Homer's poem, The Odyssey, interpreted in this case by shepherds, farmers, artisans, fishermen and sailors from Sardinia, who through guided improvisation give life to a bittersweet, epic and universal tale in which modernity is intertwined with the strength of tradition.

The film is inspired by the adventures of Ulysses, played by Giovanni Masia, and tells the story of a shepherd in the audience who falls asleep and in his dream finds himself the protagonist of an imaginary journey, becoming a hero himself. A journey that reflects the passions, desires and fears of a modern-day country man, grappling with a constantly changing world and his own advancement towards old age.
