From March to December. Not just four months anymore. The season organized by the Marialisa de Carolis institution of Sassari doubles its duration and titles: as many as 7 operas instead of the usual 4 and 6 symphonic concerts in a high-quality program curated by the new artistic director Alberto Gazale. "An increase made possible with the amendment to the Budget and I thank the regional councilors of the majority and the opposition", explained the president of the Sassari institution Antonello Mattone. The regional funding was increased from 900,000 to two million euros.

It starts on March 24 at the Teatro Comunale in Sassari with the concert of the pianist Michele Campanella, international star, together with Monica Leone, his artistic and life partner.

On May 7 the protagonist of the symphonic concert will be Massimo Quarta, violinist and conductor, while on May 14 there will be the German pianist Lonquich and on the 19th the cellist Enrico Bronzi. All concerts start at 8pm.

Then two summer previews for the opera: Mascagni's "Cavalleria rusticana" directed by Sante Maurizi which will always be staged at the Comunale while it will be Piazza d'Italia to welcome Leoncavallo's "Pagliacci" and admission will be free.

On 23 September another symphonic concert to be defined and on 13 and 15 October Verdi's "Macbeth" with Anna Pirozzi and Franco Vassallo in the leading roles. The other lyrical titles are Rossini's "Barbiere di Siviglia" inspired by the works of the artist Fernando Botero, two works by Poulenc and Hazon with a tribute to Picasso and, in December, Verdi's "Nabucco".

At the end of December the sixth symphonic concert.
