Major islands also in the sense of music. The Sardinians Train To Roots and the Sicilians Shakalab join forces in the name of reggae and launch a new song: " Gherreros" . A song sung by four voices in Sardinian, Sicilian, English and Italian. Recorded, mixed and mastered at the Roble Recording Studio in Alghero and published by Roble Records, "Gherreros" is available on digital platforms.
"Gherreros" has anticipated a tour that, after the Italian stops in Modena and Milan, and those in Spain and Holland, will land in England: today in London and tomorrow in Manchester, ready to spread their message of unity and struggle through the universal language of reggae music.
Shakalab described this collaboration as follows: «With a sound that mixes tradition and modernity, Gherreros is a tribute to the identity, resistance and courage of the island people, transforming music into a manifesto of pride and strength».
Train To Roots added: «These two islands have always been lands of conquest throughout history. Anyone who is born or becomes an islander is a warrior who will have to fight to survive. They have stolen everything from us and continue to do so, everything is still in the hands of the masters of the moment and we continue to fight among ourselves instead of being united and this is one of the greatest defeats. We liked the idea of being able to make a piece with Shakalab, who we have known for many years. Joining the forces and voices of two islands with their languages. The suffering and exploitation that our territories experience are similar even if we are far away».
