The Salone del Mobile has opened its doors in Milan with its 62nd edition.

Over 1,300 events are scheduled throughout the city and visitors are expected from 130 countries. The exhibition, which is concentrated at the Milan-Rho fair, will continue until Sunday 21 April.

The Fuorisalone events have as their dominant theme "Materia Natura" with the various design districts. To give some examples, the State University presents, with Interni, the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, designed by Mario Cucinella, which will be on display, on a 1:100 scale, in the hall of the university's main hall.

But the Fuorisalone will involve all the neighborhoods of Milan: from the Brera Design District with exhibitions, installations and group shows, to the former Macello where a musical event will take place with internationally renowned artists and young talents.

Furthermore, in this edition you will be able to admire the former Water House, a 1920s building in Trotter Park, where there will be an immersive and sensorial installation on the theme of water. And some currently abandoned commercial spaces owned by the Municipality, in peripheral neighborhoods, will be regenerated to accommodate only emerging designers.

Tomorrow, April 16th, the ribbon cutting for the Salone. There are 174 thousand square meters of exhibition space and 1,900 exhibitors.
