The connected person takes the exit ramp. During the week the last missing issues should be dismissed and, among these, the most important is that which concerns the restoration of the Provinces. There is, however, a crux: the return to the eight entities risks being incomplete.
«The Provinces to which the Connected Member will give legs are second-level bodies, in implementation of the Delrio law: it provides that the mayors and municipal councilors elect the offices. We want them to be top-level, that is, elected directly by the citizens, also to avoid problems in the face of the changes that are about to be completed at a national level, which cannot find us unprepared », explains Michele Ennas, group leader of the League.
The story
On this point, the councilor for local authorities brakes: "We cannot comment on the first level elections because it is a state competence: the second level has been established, as per law 7 of 2021, approved by the regional council", says Aldo Salaris . «The law organizes the supra-municipal territorial structure in six provinces and two metropolitan cities. Everything concerning direct elections is in the hands of the Government through Minister Calderoli». The Sardinian law had been challenged by the Government and subsequently declared legitimate by the Constitutional Court. "But the times of the appeal have postponed all the phases of the start of the reform," recalls Salaris. «So, in the Connected, we are updating all these phases».
In detail, the provision brings the intermediate entities to six (North-East, Nuoro, Ogliastra, Sulcis-Iglesiente, Medio Campidano, Oristano) and the metropolitan cities to two (Cagliari and Sassari).
