The regional council meets again in the autumn after a long period of fits and starts, between holidays and political elections. On the agenda, in the meeting scheduled for October 26, there are two bills: one concerns the "Discipline of the collection and cultivation of truffles and enhancement of the regional truffle heritage" and bears the first signature of the Sardinian Piero Maieli.

The other is on the “Discipline of the collection, protection, enhancement and marketing of spontaneous epigean mushrooms ” and the promoter is Gian Filippo Sechi (Udc). Hot topics, it seems. Especially the second: some rain and the heat have provoked assaults on the countryside, invaded by prospectors who often trespass on private land, with consequent tensions with the owners.

First, however, the highest Sardinian assembly should talk about two unified laws (i.e. on which the majority and the opposition have found agreement for months): one provides for the financing of initiatives against bullying, the other of those for the enhancement of sign languages and for the removal of language barriers.

On Saturday in the square there were 8000 Sardinians who demanded respect for their right to health, two days earlier the shepherds asked for an intervention to keep their companies open, crushed by increases in raw materials and high bills.

The regional council has ensured responses to both disputes. Meanwhile, he deals with epigean mushrooms (those that grow above ground) and truffles.
