Ten Sardinian photographers will give life for three months, in 9 small municipalities, to the "Photographers in Marmilla 2023" project, born from the partnership between the "Due Giare" Tourist Consortium and the "Su Palatu Photography" association.

Through photography you will discover the internal area with its treasures, its history, its traditions, its identity. The exhibitions will be hosted in the open spaces of the historic centers, all at the same time and can be visited from 10 June to 30 September.

More than three months - comments the president of the Due Giare Consortium - of photographic stories in a territory that wants to grow and become more attractive for tourists also with art and culture". A project in its fourth edition.

“A risky bet born in 2020 - recalled Salvatore Ligios, president of the "Su Palatu" association - photography has always been a difficult cultural product, almost always linked to big names and contexts outside our island. We, on the other hand, have managed to offer this cultural product in small municipalities. A non-consumerist cultural product, which has transformed these small realities into laboratories". This year, ten women will promote Marmilla with their photos. Among them, a special memory for Daniela Zedda, an internationally renowned photographer, who passed away a few days ago.

The debut of "Photographer in Marmilla 2023" will be on Saturday 10 June, at 6 pm, in Albagiara, in the Malloci House Museum. In Albagiara Gloria Musa and Sabina Oppo will exhibit "Black gives way to blue", curated by Anna Rita Punzo.
