The Italian Touring Club awarded today, in Milan, during the inaugural day of the Bit - International Tourism Exchange, the 281 "Orange Flags" for the three-year period 2024-2026. And there are seven places in Sardinia that have obtained the recognition assigned to inland municipalities that «know how to express great excellence in environmental, cultural, food and wine, hospitality and social innovation terms and that find in tourism a concrete opportunity for relaunch, despite the difficulties due to the marginal situation".

These are the municipalities of Aggius, Galtellì, Gavoi, Laconi, Oliena, Sardara and Tempio Pausania.

The regions with the most orange flags are Tuscany, Piedmont and Marche, with 43, 39 and 28 certified municipalities respectively.

«When we talk about tourism in Italy, we cannot overlook the importance of our villages: true hidden treasures that offer authentic experiences, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the rich history, culture and tradition of our nation», he said on the occasion of the ceremony the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè. Adding: «Through these small towns, we can preserve and promote our roots, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the wonder of these historic gems, the pride of our Italy».

«Bandiere Arancioni is a concrete example of our Association's commitment to taking care of Italy as a common good - echoes Franco Iseppi, President of the Italian Touring Club - with the aim of spreading knowledge of the territories, especially the lesser-known ones, educating on the beauty of the landscape and care for the environment".
