The Italian national basketball team for athletes with Down syndrome never stops collecting laurels. On Saturday, at the PalaGozzano in Padua, coach Bufacchi's Azzurri won their third consecutive European title by beating Finland 34-18 in the final.

Two Sardinians were part of yet another winning expedition: the Quartese athlete of Atletico Aipd Davide Paulis (in double figures in the final with 10 points on the scoresheet) and the assistant coach Mauro Dessì .
