The megalithic area of Sanit-Martin de Corléans meets once again the Menhir Museum of Laconi. Two realities that are distant on a territorial level but close culturally thanks to the presence of the menhirs to be admired. A few days ago, in Aosta, there was the signing of the memorandum of understanding for the collaboration and scientific correlation activities between the megalithic area of Aosta, ten thousand square meters which contain the evidence of a distant civilization between ritual ploughings, totems of wood and stone, anthropomorphic steles, tombs and many menhirs and the Museum of prehistoric statuary of Laconi, eleven rooms in total distributed between the ground floor and the second floor of the Aymerich Palace dedicated to the menhirs found in the area, from Laconi to Allai passing for Villa Sant'Antonio and Samugheo.

The agreement, signed by the mayor of Laconi Salvatore Argiolas, establishes a collaboration that began years ago with the aim of carrying out joint projects of scientific research and valorisation of sculptures from the Neolithic era, starting from an exhibition of the Sardinian institution which will be taken to Aosta. «It is an institutional agreement - explains Argiolas - There are many ideas, including that of studying a single ticket to visit the two museums, a sort of twinning».

The Laconi polyphonic choir was also present in Aosta for the occasion. The ancient Sardinian melodies served as the soundtrack to the important collaboration between the two realities. «The works we are talking about are not stones, it is the story of ourselves that is told with a certain charm». These are the words spoken by historians during the signing of the protocol.
