From Sassari, of Greek roots, with Turkish and Russian origins, son and grandson of refugees.
This melting pot of ethnicities, experiences and religions allows the writer and poet Filippo Kalomenidis to have a wide-angle lens when he addresses even thorny issues. On Tuesday 17 December at 6:30 pm he returns to his city to present his latest book at the Ex-Ma.Ter in via Zanfarno (6:30 pm): “La Rivoluzione Palestiniane del 7 Ottobre”, published by Pgreco, in an evening organised by the Libreria Koiné Internazionale and with the patronage of the Municipality of Sassari and the Academy of Fine Arts “Mario Sironi”.
This is a collection of unique and touching anti-academic essays, poems, thoughts and reflections, which retrace the events of the Palestine movement experienced from the author's point of view, over a period of time ranging from October 7, 2023 to September 2024.
An independent and unbiased examination of a situation that is experiencing a very delicate moment and of a conflict that has expanded its borders towards Lebanon and Syria.
Filippo Kalomenidis is also a political militant and does not give discounts to European and Italian politics and also to Western media. For this book the writer has also received threats and some censorship, but above all he has aroused interest in the tour of presentations in the Peninsula and in the Universities of Bologna and Milan.
