The objectives of the general managers of the health authorities of Sardinia have been set by the Solinas Council - with two measures presented on the proposal of Mario Nieddu, regional councilor for health.

The work of the managers at the helm of the eight Asl, Areus, Ares and the three hospitals will be evaluated by a special commission that will certify the achievement of the targets established by the regional executive.

"We have given way to a complex reform with the aim of bringing health care closer to citizens and the territory - explains President Christian Solinas -, reversing the logic of a model that has failed to give Sardinians adequate responses in terms of assistance and care . To give a guide to the companies we looked at the curricula, appointing the general managers among the leading profiles in the field of health management and organization. What managers cover today is a delicate and demanding task that requires verification work in progress. The Sardinians deserve a high level of health care and this is what we strongly aim for ".

There are two types of targets entrusted to the general managers: "The strategic objectives, to be achieved in the current year, set out for each individual company and divided into two macro areas, the first relating to the improvement of the quality and appropriateness of services, through the achievement of defined standards, and the second relevant to sustainable financial and administrative management, as well as to the enhancement and requalification of assets; and the general objectives, common to all the DGs of the Local Health Authorities and hospitals, to which are added specific objectives for Ares and Areus, with a goal set within twenty-four months, which includes, among others, compliance with the milestones 'of the NRP, on interventions planned at the regional level ".

"The confirmation of the assignments assigned - adds the commissioner Nieddu - is strictly linked to the achievement of the results. We have various objectives before us, from the activation of the single emergency number, 112, and the related stations, to the strengthening of the screening plans. and prevention, from the management of waiting lists to the adoption and updating of Pdta in hospitals and the implementation of information systems. The entire health system. Today the principle of mutual assistance between companies becomes strategic. A network of solidarity capable of intervening in support, for example, of peripheral facilities, through the sharing of solutions and human resources to ensure, where necessary, full operations of hospital wards ". "The ability to work as a team - concludes the representative of the council - will be decisive for a regional health system that must travel at only one speed".
