A singer-songwriter who has dedicated his life to music, today he's back on tour for a brand new album: this Saturday , the capital will be visited by Davide Combusti, aka The Niro , to perform his latest work, " La Nascita, " live at the Jester Club . The date will start at 10 pm , part of the Sardignitalia festival.

Combusti began his career as a child of artists, with his father Giordiano already a drummer for the bands Centauri and La Somma. After playing in his first bands and discovering his talent as a singer, in 2002 he formed The Niro , with whom he began playing first in Rome, then throughout Italy, and finally abroad. At a certain point, the band split up, but Combusti kept the name for his solo project, and when he was opening for Carmen Consoli on her London tour in 2007, he was noticed by Universal , who even included him in their international catalog. The following year, the extended play "An Ordinary Man" was released, followed a few months later by the self-titled debut album , during a fortunate period for the artist, who found himself participating in tribute shows for the late Elliott Smith and the historic Belle and Sebastian and Diaframma. In 2010, his success continued with his second album, "Best Wishes," which even reached Beppe Grillo's Woodstock 5 Stelle festival.

After participating in the soundtracks of the films "All the Love in the World", "Mr. America" and "Caserta Palace Dream" (the latter with Oscar winner Richard Dreyfuss) , he arrived at Sanremo in 2014 with "1969", which with a certain success anticipated the album of the same name . It was 2019 when in Paris he announced the collaborative album with Gary Lucas, " The complete Jeff Buckley & Gary Lucas songbook ", which collects all the songs written by the iconic duo, plus five unreleased songs, in a recovery of Buckley's work that earned the author the podium for "best performer" at the Targhe Tenco 2020. Developing his activity in cinema and illustration in parallel, The Niro returned to publishing his own songs with Esordisco Records , releasing "Un mondo perfetto" (2023) and " La Nascita " last November.
