A journey between past and present, between great historical events and daily challenges, to reflect on disability, gender identity and homosexuality. This is the beating heart of the new season of the Teatro da Camera della Fabbrica Illuminata , under the artistic direction of Elena Pau. Nine events, eleven productions, and a promise: to bring emotions, current themes and excellent names from the Italian theatre scene to the stage.

The festival, which opens on January 25 and closes on July 20 , embraces unique spaces, chosen in harmony with the themes of the shows. The evocative Villa Asquer in Assemini will host the opening and closing of the season, while the Archaeological Area of Sant'Eulalia will revive the myths. At Palazzo Siotto, music and storytelling will intertwine, and at Fico d'India the day against homophobia will be celebrated. The headquarters of the Fabbrica Illuminata and the M2 room of the Teatro Massimo will host reflections on disability and identity in transition.

Among the protagonists, some big names stand out: the 2024 Ubu prize winner Leonardo Capuano , engaged as director, Enrico Bonavera , the Harlequin of the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, and Pino Micol in a classic dedicated to Oscar Wilde.

The inauguration, on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance, is dedicated to Ilse Herlinger Weber, Jewish writer and musician. Saturday 25 January at 11, Villa Asquer will host "The Blue Hour of Fairy Tales - in the Ghetto of Theresienstadt " , a new production of the Fabbrica Illuminata with Elena Pau and Valentina Sulas.

Even the little ones will have their space: from January 19 to March 23, three events of Teatro da Cameretta at the Fabbrica Illuminata. A season that promises emotions, reflection and art.
