The actor Mario Faticoni will read some passages from the book. We are at the end of the 1500s and the Italian political climate is poisoned by the divisions between the various factions of the papal court, for or against what was decided in the Council of Trent. The Inquisition represses every type of dissent and heterodoxy. In this context, the revolt of a group of artists and men of science takes shape, from Florence to Rome, from Naples to Milan, who decide to rebel against the rules of decorum established for painters and sculptors and the Index of Prohibited Books. In Rome, all the protagonists of a complex and compelling story converge.
