After the success of the XVII Venice Biennale with over 300 thousand visitors, the Asinara National Park returns to be the protagonist in Florence with the installation "The submerged resilient communities of the island of Asinara" exhibited until January 31, 2022 in the crypt of the Marino Marini museum, where the exhibition “Resilient landscapes for resilient communities” is located and which includes the Rucellai chapel with the chapel of Leon Battista Alberti.

A real and virtual reconstruction of Asinara with the seabed of the island and an expanse of three quintals of posidonia and a series of panels of native essences that reproduce the environmental heritage of the park and Sardinia.

After Florence we will continue with an itinerant route to other cities: Rome, Milan and Val di Sella.

"The presence of Sardinia in these important places of art and culture guarantees a positive impact for the promotion of its environmental and landscape values - commented the regional councilor for environmental protection, Gianni Lampis, present at the inauguration - landscape represents a fundamental framework for a new pact between man and the environment and, in the case of Asinara, where the National Park and the Marine Protected Area are actively engaged in preserving the natural heritage, with the collaboration of the principals of Forestas, Forestry Corps and Conservatory of the coasts, the example comes from the subtle balance between the anthropic element and the environment ".
